Running alone is easy to quit. Agara built Runner, a social running app that turns every route into something you record, share, and compete on — GPS tracking, a social feed, levels, and a leaderboard.
Most running apps log distance and pace, then leave the runner alone with the data. There is no reason to open the app again tomorrow if nobody is watching and nothing is at stake.
A GPS log by itself does not create a habit. Runners need a reason to keep showing up, not just a record of what they already did.
Without levels or milestones, every run looks the same as the last one, even when the runner is genuinely improving.
Agara built Runner around three loops: record, share, compete — each one designed to bring the runner back the next day.
Every run is tracked and mapped, capturing route, pace, and distance without extra manual entry.
Runs post directly to a feed, so training becomes visible to friends and other runners instead of disappearing into a private log.
Runners level up as they log distance, giving every run a sense of forward motion beyond the raw numbers.
A leaderboard puts runners head-to-head, turning an individual habit into an ongoing competition with people they know.
